Last February, the Jobe UIL team competed against other MISD middle schools. The Jobe UIL team won 3rd place overall in a tight competition. Jobe was only 3 points away from clinching 2nd place.

The following students placed individually:

• Allison Mitchell - 5th place in Art
• Elijah Sekandi - 4th place in Chess and 5th place in Music Memory
• Anay Bhakta - 2nd place in Science and 3rd place in Maps, Graphs, Charts and 4th in Music Memory
• Xander Dozier - 3rd place in Science 

The Jobe UIL team earned the following awards:

• 7th grade Science - 1st place
• Art - 2nd place
• Calculator Apps - 3rd place
• Chess - 2nd place
• Dictionary Skills - 3rd place
• Listening Skills - 3rd place
• Maps, Graphs, and Charts - 2nd place
• Mathematics - 2nd place
• Number Sense - 2nd place
